Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide pediatric occupational therapy services for Early Intervention (birth3) or school-age students across home school and community settings on Long Island. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat children with developmental delays sensory processing challenges fine motor and visual-motor deficits and functional skill needs. This role emphasizes practical individualized interventions that support participation in daily routines academic tasks and age-appropriate activities.

The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with families educators service coordinators and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent and effective service delivery across environments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for EI and school-age students

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services in home-based EI and school-based or community settings

  • Address fine motor skills sensory processing self-care play and functional participation

  • Collaborate with families teachers and related service providers to support carryover of skills

  • Complete required documentation including evaluations session notes and progress reports

  • Provide consultation and strategies to caregivers and school staff as appropriate

  • Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with New York State and AOTA guidelines



Requirements
    Qualifications
  • Current New York State Occupational Therapist license required

  • Masters degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

  • Pediatric experience preferred; EI and/or school-based experience a plus but not required

  • Ability to pass required background checks and clearances

  • Strong communication organization and clinical reasoning skills

  • Ability to work independently across multiple settings while collaborating with a team

Pay: $68$81 per hour (based on experience setting and certifications)
