Requirements
Current Virginia licensure or other applicable credential required to provide occupational therapy services.
Appropriate education training and professional experience necessary to perform school-based occupational therapy services.
Experience providing occupational therapy services to students with disabilities in a school or educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs and assigned service requirements.
Conduct occupational therapy and functional evaluations.
Develop written evaluation reports recommendations and appropriate occupational therapy interventions.
Participate in eligibility IEP manifestation determination and multidisciplinary team meetings as requested.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
Consult with teachers administrators parents special education personnel and other members of the educational team.
Provide recommendations regarding accommodations assistive technology adaptive strategies and specialized instructional supports within the scope of occupational therapy services.
Provide consultative services to instructional staff and families regarding students functional and educational needs.
Assist with Medicaid-related documentation and billing requirements where applicable.
Coordinate service schedules with designated administrators and case managers.
Provide all reports service records progress documentation and other information required by the School Division.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA IDEA HIPAA where applicable and other governing requirements.
Maintain required professional licensure certifications and professional standards throughout the assignment.
Perform other duties as assigned
