Occupational Therapist

SUMMARYPRN schedule$50-54/hrProvides program participant evaluations occupational therapy services and may supervise Certified Occupational Therapist JOB FUNCTIONSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:Provides quality service delivery through evaluation and testing of program participants and the development of effective treatment plans for each innovative treatment programs to program participants and communicates treatment needs to appropriate staff. Provides re-evaluation and programmatic changes as necessary. Effectively manages assigned up appropriate home exercise programs for participants in a timely manner. Performs home evaluations as timely and appropriate program participant documentation including report of services. Completes weekly schedule request to meet OT goals of staff/program participants and submits it to on rehabilitation treatment team(s) including but not limited to attending team meetings attending conferences etc. Attends departmental meetings for program development and establishing effective systems of operations team training or seminars on a yearly basis to update knowledge and skills. Completes all mandatory training offered by with physicians staff professionals/paraprofessionals consultants families and community resources as needed to ensure effectiveness of occupational therapy in in-service programs in areas of expertise for OT and all of CCS staff as in maintenance of targeted departmental budget and monitoring of to Service Monitoring System (SMS) standards for department accreditation and licensure standards and ethics of other related duties and activities as RESPONSIBILITIESDirects and supervises assigned staff including performance evaluations scheduling orientation and training. Makes decisions on employee hires transfers promotions salary changes discipline terminations and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position Knowledge and Skills required by the JobThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or abilities required to perform the job:Education and Experience:Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy and one year human services experienceOne year experience in neuro-rehabilitation preferredCertificates Licenses and Registrations:Must be licensed OT/L in state and a member in good standing with Requirements:Travel as neededPhysical Requirements:Heavy work.
