Job Summary

We seek a California licensed candidates with two (2) or more years of occupational therapy experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population for the role of Occupational Therapist. The person in this role will conduct Occupational Therapy assessments to define the Occupational Therapy care needs preferences and goals of the participants and actively participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings to develop participant care plans. She/he will deliver and document Occupational Therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders and/or as agreed upon in the participants care plans including but not limited to the use of devices techniques and activities to promote muscle re-education perceptual-motor and cognitive function balance endurance and other factors affecting the level of independence in performing ADLs. She/he will supervise the Therapy Assistants including providing training instruction and guidance needed to implement Functional Maintenance Programs (FMP).
Candidates must have a degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited Program that meets AOTA & ACOTE standards. Must have two (2) years of occupational therapy experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population. Must have two (2) years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members preferred Must have registration from National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
