SCHEDULE & PRACTICE MODEL
Full time night shift
72 hours per pay period
Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation
Hospital OB department
Floats to other hospital departments as needed

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide individualized patient- and family-focused care throughout the patients stay anticipating changes in care needs
Evaluate patient assessments and responses to interventions and take appropriate action according to established standards
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and competence in required registered nurse competencies including thorough knowledge of medications administered
Assess labor progression and manage induction of labor and cervical ripening
Perform fetal heart monitoring and neonatal assessments
Recognize and manage neonatal sepsis
Manage obstetric emergencies including prolapsed cord breech delivery postpartum hemorrhage precipitous delivery uterine rupture and placental abruption

Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) REQUIRED
Current Wisconsin RN license REQUIRED
BLS certification within 3 months of hire REQUIRED
NRP certification within 6 months of hire REQUIRED
ACLS certification within 1 year of hire REQUIRED
Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification within 2 years of hire REQUIRED
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
OB experience preferred
