Job Summary

An OB RN Director who excels in this role:

  • Provides and coordinates care of the OB patient using nursing process.
  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services.
  • Performs performance improvement studies and assists with implementation of PI initiatives.
  • Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care patient flow and clinical standards policies and procedures.
  • Monitors departmental compliance with applicable requirements including accreditation legal and The Joint Commission.
  • Coordinates staff scheduling educational/development activities and performance evaluations.
  • Provides and coordinates patient educational needs specifically to Labor and Delivery.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned

What were looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associates degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelors preferred).

Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
  • 4-years Labor and Delivery experience (preferred)
  • 2-years leadership experience in healthcare (preferred)
  • NRP AWHONN-EFM AWHONN-POEP STABLE (current or within 1 year)
  • Annual influenza vaccination or declination required

  1. Associates Degree in Nursing
  2. Michigan RN license
  3. Labor and Delivery Experience
Nice-to-Have Requirements
  1. Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  2. 4-years Labor and Delivery experience (preferred)
