Nursing Quality Indicator Nurse Cancer and Blood Disorders Center 0.8FTE D/E
Responsible for supporting safe high-quality evidence-based nursing care is provided to the assigned patient population. This includes but is not limited to leading or supporting projects to improve the delivery of care to patients by both developing the skills of the nursing staff and ensuring the standards of nursing practice are based on evidence with the oversight and guidance of the CNS team member(s) or Director for Nursing Quality Safety and CNS Team.
Provides education program development and rounds with clinical nurses to promote the standards of nursing practice with the oversight of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team and director. Works collaboratively with the CNS Team and other healthcare professionals in the development of nursing practice and patient care outcomes. Collaborates with leadership through process improvement and supports program development and organizational mission and goals.
A bachelors degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited school of of three (3) years RN experience.
Required Credentials
Current Washington State or Multistate (MSL) RN certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. This is a condition of hire and must be maintained at all times. Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers. (Note: Employees are responsible for any costs (including time away from work) associated with obtaining PALS or PEARS certification if it is not a requirement of the position). ACLS will not be accepted as a substitute to the requirements listed Certification at time of hire or within 3 months of hire and must be maintained at all times thereafter for nurses working in the following areas: Acute Care Float Cancer and Blood Disorders Care Unit Dialysis Infusion Medical Unit Psychiatry Unit Rehabilitation Unit Research Nurses working in Cancer Care and CCTR Surgical Unit Urgent Care (all locations) and Vascular Access Services. PALS certification will be accepted in lieu of PEARS certification (Note: Employees are responsible for any costs (including time away from work) associated with obtaining PALS certification if it is not a requirement of the position).
Preferred
Demonstrated experience in clinical education program development and continuous quality improvement certification in hired clinical specialty area.
Compensation Range
$118174.00 - $177262.00 per yearSalary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity skills experience and expertise and may vary within the range provided.
