Nursing Clinical Coordinator
Job Summary
Iowa State University is seeking a collaborative and highly organized Nursing Clinical Coordinator to lead the planning coordination and evaluation of clinical learning experiences for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) students. Serving as the primary liaison between the nursing program and healthcare partners this position ensures high-quality clinical experiences that support student success while meeting accreditation standards state board regulations and clinical agency requirements. Working closely with faculty students healthcare organizations and university partners the coordinator also contributes to accreditation efforts program planning quality improvement initiatives and professional service that advance the Colleges mission.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare organizations to secure high-quality clinical placements for BSN and MSN students.
Coordinate clinical placements schedules and agency onboarding processes across a variety of healthcare settings.
Serve as the primary resource for students faculty and clinical partners regarding placement logistics compliance requirements and clinical expectations.
Ensure compliance with university policies clinical agency requirements state board regulations and accreditation standards while maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation.
Support accreditation reporting regulatory documentation and continuous improvement initiatives related to clinical education.
Represent the nursing program with healthcare partners and community stakeholders to strengthen clinical education opportunities.
Participate in professional development scholarship committee work and other service activities that support the continued success of the nursing program.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field
Experience in nursing education and/or clinical coordination
Knowledge of nursing accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
Strong organizational communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience with clinical tracking software and database management systems
