Nursing Assistant Telemetry

As our Nursing Assistant (NA) you will perform essential direct patient care working under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse often while actively pursuing your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.

Every day you will provide comprehensive patient care including bathing oral care feeding ambulation and monitoring vital signs. You will also manage other duties such as inventory documentation clerical tasks dietary assistance light housekeeping and computer input directly supporting the nursing units operational needs.

To be successful in this role you will possess a strong capability for basic patient care demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in all tasks and effectively collaborate within the nursing team to ensure optimal patient well-being and a supportive care environment showcasing dedication to advancing your healthcare career.

• Demonstrates basic patient care skills including but not limited to patient hygiene (bathing grooming oral and perineal care back rubs). Measurement: Observation Patient Care Documentation.
• Measures vital signs weights and measures I&O accurately and within expected time frames. Measurement: Observation Accuracy Timeliness.
• Documents accurately on designated forms or in computer. Measurement: Observation Patient Care Documentation Accuracy.
• Ambulates lifts moves and transports patients within specified time frames. Measurement: Observation Timeliness.
• Positions patients and performs range of motion exercises. Measurement: Observation Accuracy.
• Stocks patient care supplies before leaving end of shift. Measurement: Observation Inventory Feedback.

• High School GED or High School Graduate
• Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program
• Certified Nursing Assistant: CA upon hire
• Basic Life Support - BLS upon hire

Preferred

• Six (6) months recent hospital experience as CNA
