Position Summary
Holy Cross Health a member of Trinity Health is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to provide frontline clinical leadership on our PCU/Neuro Unit. This unit provides specialized care for patients requiring close monitoring for neurological and progressive medical conditions including stroke seizures and post-ICU step-down care. Nurses in this unit manage complex patients with continuous telemetry frequent neuro assessments and interventions aimed at stabilizing and improving neurological function. The unit emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based protocols to support optimal recovery outcomes.
Reporting to the Director of PCU/Neuro the Nurse Supervisor supports daily operations coordinates patient care and ensures adherence to quality safety and regulatory standardswhile modeling Trinity Healths Mission Vision and Values.
What You Will Do
Employment Type/Shift: Full-time; 36-hour; Days
Serve as the designated clinical leader for the unit on assigned shifts
Plan coordinate and manage care for routine and complex patients
Support daily operational performance and regulatory compliance
Educate patients and families to support recovery and continuity of care
Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary partners to optimize outcomes
Implement departmental priorities and support quality improvement initiatives
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Active RN license in Maryland or Compact State
BLS certification (AHA); additional life support as required by the unit
Minimum 3 years of acute care RN experience
Preferred
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
Prior informal or formal leadership experience in an acute care setting
Experience in progressive care neuro or cardiac patient populations
PCCN preferred must obtain within 6 months of start
Pay Range: $39.47 $61.20/hour
Pay is based on experience skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
