Nurse Practitioner Urgent Care (Supplemental)

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is responsible for practicing medicine to include conducting examinations and writing prescriptions. Within physician APRN collaborative agreement the APRN exercises autonomy in medical decision-making and provides a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services with no supervision requirement. May practice in several specialty areas including occupational medicine surgery urgent care family/internal medicine and specialty.

Minimum Education Experience Training Licensures/Certifications/Registrations Required:

1. BSN required; MSN required
2. Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner from an approved nurse practitioner program
3. Eligible at all times to be insured for professional liability
4. Active RN license in Kentucky or compact state
5. Current unrestricted license to practice as an APRN in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
6. Board certification required
7. BLS Certification
