Job Summary
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of University Health Services the Nurse Practitioner provides clinical care to enrolled students on the Rose Hill and Lincoln center campuses. This position assesses the physical and psychosocial status of students develops and implements therapeutic plans and follows through on a continuum of care across the health-illness spectrum. This position requires occasional evening and weekend work.
Essential Functions
Provides preventive and acute care to students at all campuses by obtaining and recording medical histories. Provides physical examinations and treat acute illnesses. Orders performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Provides follow-up and assesses treatments. Promotes healthy lifestyles and positive choices through education and counseling. Provides health education to students on ways to improve promote and maintain their health status including but not limited to providing educational information on disease/disease processes self-care practices and positive lifestyle choices.
Preferred Qualifications
DEA license. Board certified by national NP certification organization. Experience in a college health setting.

Office Environment: Employees are protected from weather conditions or contaminants but not necessarily occasional temperature changes.
