The Nurse Educator 3 Transition to Practice is a Registered Nurse with System-wide Professional Development responsibilities demonstrates understanding of the theoretical basis of nursing and serves as a clinical resource and role model within their area of expertise.
The incumbent fulfills their organizational functions according to the Nursing Professional Development (NPD) roles of learning facilitator change agent mentor leader champion for scientific inquiry advocate for NPD specialty and partner for practice transitions. The Nurse Educator 3 carries out these responsibilities in alignment with the current Nursing Professional Development Scope & Standards of Practice and utilizing the nursing process as applied to the specialty (assessment learning needs and outcomes identification planning implementation and evaluation).

Support Joint Commission readiness regulatory compliance and adherence to professional standards - Data-Driven Practice Improvement:
Analyze and trendNurse Sensitive Indicators (NSIs) Zero Harm metrics patient experience and RN engagement datato identify gaps and drive improvement - Shared Governance and Leadership Development:
StrengthenUnit-BasedPracticeCouncils (UBPCs) mentor council leaders and promote nursing engagement in organizational decision-making - Evidence-Based Practice and Research Integration:
Identify practice gaps support EBP initiatives and contribute to research and performance improvement activities - Magnet and Professional Practice Model Integration:
AdvanceMagnet readiness support exemplar development and embed the Professional Practice Model and Caring Science principles into practice - Frontline Coaching and Practice Observation:
Partner with leaders and staff to observe workflows validate practice and implement targeted improvement strategies
Transition to Nursing Professional Practice:
To support system-level impact and new graduate RN transition to professional practice this Nurse Educator 3 is expected to:
- Lead coordinate implement and evaluate the Titan Canes Nurse Residency Program
- Support transition to practice program(s) coordination
- Leads and implements initiatives to improve and maintain accreditation standards for transition to practice program(s)
Academic-Practice Partnership and Clinical Instruction:
Expected to actively support academic-practice partnerships including participation in clinical education. This may include:
- Serving as aClinical Instructorin partnership with affiliated Schools of Nursing
- Providingstructuredclinicallearningexperiencesalignedwithorganizational priorities quality outcomes and professional practice standards
- Supporting the development ofNurse Scholars(students/learners)throughmentorshipclinical oversight and integration into practice environments
Scholarly and Professional Contribution:
To support system-level impact and Magnet readiness Nurse Educator 3 is expected to contribute to scholarly and professional activities which may include:
- Dissemination of workthroughpresentationspostersor publications
- Participation inresearch evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives
- Engagement inprofessional organizations and academic collaboration
Core Qualifications:
Education:
Masters degree in Nursing required.
NursingProfessional Developmentcertification strongly preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required
Certification and Licensing:
Valid State of Florida RN license required from an accredited institution
ACLS and BLS issued from the American Heart Association
