Nucor Data Systems HR Generalist I

Nucor Data Systems seeks qualified candidates for the position of Human Resources Generalist. The HR Generalist will be part of the NDS HR Team and will be located onsite at NDS Madison successful candidate will be responsible for all HR related functions including payroll processing (weekly payroll bonus payroll weekly monthly quarterly and annual tax reporting); job postings; the onboarding/termination processing; all benefit administration; leave of absence in compliance with Nucor federal and state regulations; organizing and communicating teammate training opportunities employment-related programs including events and outreach efforts; assisting with compliance training and preparation of required reports while ensuring accuracy completeness and timeliness; preparing teammate communications and notices concerning HR functions; maintain teammate data in the HRIS system; traveling to other sites as needed; and performing other HR duties in assistance of the whole NDS HR Team. The successful candidate will be aligned with and support the vision of the product group and conducting themselves in a manner that is consistent with Nucors Mission and Culture.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

• 3 years of Human Resource experience
• 2 years payroll/payroll tax experience
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel
• Due to the sensitivity and confidentiality required of the position candidates must nothave any family currenting working for Nucor Data Systems.

• Experience with SAP and SuccessFactors
• Experience in recruiting for entry level specialist and professional roles
• Degree in business or related discipline
• Experience in manufacturing or steel industry
