Nuclear Medicine Technologist (3481)

Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist- PRN

Memorial Cardiology Associates is adding to the team and in search of PRN Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologists for our Saturday clinics. This position will accommodate three office locations and technologists will sign up in advance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Explains procedure to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results
• Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials calculate doses and administers doses under direction of Physician
• Performs diagnostic exams including Cardiac PET studies on patients as prescribed by physician including treadmill supervision and starting IVs.
• Measures radioactivity using Geiger counters scalers and scintillation detectors
• Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials
• Maintains quality control of all equipment
• Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
• Attends required meetings
• Performs related work as required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Must have excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills
• Must be experienced and work independently in a very busy private cardiology practice setting

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology
• Must be registered with ARRT or NMTCB
• 2 years of experience is preferred in PET
• BLS/CPR Certification

Schedule Details:

• PRN status
• Saturday clinic 6am -2pm
