Nucor Tubular Products Birmingham is seeking a motivated customer focused teammate for Back Gate Security. This role protects site access supports carrier pickups and delivers professional service to customers carriers contractors visitors and teammates.
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers carriers contractors and visitors.
- Manage facility access and enforce site safety security and visitor requirements.
- Process carrier check ins and check outs for outbound shipments with Shipping and Receiving departments
- Verify shipment information and print bills of lading and related paperwork.
- Use business systems to verify appointments loads trailer locations transportation records and assist carriers as needed
- Coordinate visitors and contractors with appropriate department
- Maintain accurate visitor carrier contractor and shipment records.
- Provide prompt professional customer service and escalate issues that may affect safety service or shipment execution.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- This position will work 12 hour rotating shifts weekends and holidays

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with basic computer functions
- Customer service manufacturing transportation security and/or administrative experience.
- Microsoft Outlook Excel or similar applications (D365 Carrierpoint Sine Pro)
- Experience with shipping warehouse and/or transportation functions
