Noise and Vibration Testing Engineer

We work daily with multifunctional teams on innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. We are looking for an Nu0026V Testing Engineer to join our team.

A Nu0026V testing engineer on the Noise u0026 Vibration team will test and analyze acoustic noise generating mechanisms and transmission path to provide innovative and cost effective solutions to noise reduction. A large part of this role involves working with cross-functional teams designing test setups collecting critical data for failure analyses and providing insight of the results with expert knowledge. You will also work closely with simulation engineers providing expert analysis on simulation-test correlation and proposing improvements to modeling methodologies.

Lead the end to end of structural vibration testing process from developing methodologies to configuring physical closely with simulation engineers to provide expert analysis on test-simulation correlation driving improvements in modeling with cross-functional teams to design and execute vibration tests dedicated to the root cause analysis of critical noise in-depth acoustic and vibration data analysis to deliver expert guidance on project next steps DOEs and mitigation plans.

Background in structural dynamics with minimum 2 years of experience in the noise and vibration hands-on experience in structural vibration testing design and ability to interpret complex testing results to draw meaningful in product noise u0026 vibration root cause in Matlab or other programming tools for analysis and experience in experimental modal analysis transfer path analysis and sub-structure creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced multi-tasking in Mechanical Engineering Audio/Acoustic Engineering or equivalent.

Preferred but not required LDV experience history of high-volume consumer electronics knowledge in electro-magnetics multi-physics and structural simulation.
