Job Summary


The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the installation of components assemblies and sub-assemblies on the production line(s) and mechanical tasks as they apply to production or repairs of product diagnose hydraulic components and diesel engines.


Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Installs purchased assembled and preassembled components.
  2. Conducts mechanical installations according to general instructions and established standards.
  3. Assemble product components to meet published schedules as directed.
  4. Assembles product components to meet published schedules as directed.
  5. Lift and move assemblies and components as required.
  6. Examine products for proper fit and function.
  7. Examine all work performed in assigned areas.
  8. Conduct installation inspections.
  9. Practice safe work procedures at all times and lead by example.
  10. Assist in the organization of the shop floor work.
  11. Demonstrate proficiency in precision layout and measurement per drawings hand sketches or revisions.
  12. Manage multiple tasks effectively.
  13. Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
  14. Perform other duties as required and directed.
  15. Exhibit strong problem-solving decision-making job task planning and organizational capabilities.
  16. Demonstrate both the ability and desire to improve processes and reduce waste.

Education & Experience

  • Previous work experience preferred

  • Follow and give oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods including shifts of up to twelve (12) hours.
  • Bend stoop squat kneel crouch twist crawl and reach overhead.
  • Climb ladders stairs platforms trailers and production equipment.
  • Lift carry push and pull materials weighing up to fifty (50) pounds independently.
  • Lift carry push and pull heavier materials with assistance or mechanical lifting devices.
  • Use hands fingers arms and shoulders for repetitive gripping grasping pulling pushing and manipulation of tools and equipment.
