Newscast Director

Were seeking a skilled and innovative Newscast Director to lead live and recorded productions across television streaming and digital platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced newsroom enjoys leading production teams and wants to help deliver engaging content to audiences wherever they watch.

What Youll Do

• Direct live newscasts special coverage and locally produced programming.
• Lead control room operations coordinating cameras audio graphics and production staff.
• Produce and oversee content for broadcast streaming OTT CTV and FAST channels.
• Direct breaking news weather sports election coverage and special events.
• Operate and manage live-streaming technologies including VMIX OBS and related production systems.
• Partner with newsroom digital and engineering teams to deliver high-quality productions across multiple platforms.
• Train and mentor production staff while helping develop best practices and workflows.

What Were Looking For

• Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
• Experience directing live television or streaming productions.
• Knowledge of control room operations live production workflows and digital streaming technologies.
• Ability to perform under pressure and make quick decisions during breaking news situations.
• A collaborative team player who is passionate about producing compelling content.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree in Broadcast Production Communications Journalism Media Production or a related field preferred.
• At least two years of experience in television production directing or newsroom operations.
• Availability to work flexible schedules including nights weekends holidays and weather-related coverage.
