Lead multiple New Model development projects utilizing SAPs New Model reviews (internal and external) Cost & Sales calculations and ensuring seamless transition from New Model to Mass Production
BACKGROUND/ SKILLS
: Follows instruction and welcomes constructive criticism. Works well with all associates. Follows scheduled tasks and communicates with the leader on progress through project completion. Demonstrates good communication skills with all associates.
Automotive background with preference towards high volume assembly operations. Experience with Japanese transplants will be highly beneficial.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects on a simultaneous basis
Strong troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and time management skills will be essential in this position. Ability to interface at multiple levels and operate within cross-functional teams is critical.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing methods is desirable.
All lower level skills as required plus:
Ability to give clear presentations of technical data at the department level. Ability to lead a small team of associates to complete a small team oriented project and create a presentation that summarizes the teams activities. Develop the skill to improve communication across cultural boundaries.
SPECIAL TRAINING/ CERTIFICATES
Previous Japanese Tier 1 automotive and/or Automotive experience preferred
Suggested: Project Management (Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be advantageous) Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhere to ASIs Safety Policy and practices and report any potential unsafe condition or concern to the Safety department immediately and/or to your direct supervisor.
Ensure proper safety practices are in place and enforced.
Interact with customers and suppliers throughout the New Model development regarding project plans including developing strategies to overcome project delays
Maintain project budget plans
Support New Model action items as directed by Project Leader / Lead Project Leader
Communicate all activities above to the relevant ASI departments and customers as required.
Be able to utilize all documentation from drawings to checksheets to properly communicate and provide accountability throughout the organization for product specifications.
Perform additional projects as assigned by Department management and support all shifts as required.
Follow all company policies and regulations per the associate handbook or other written standards that apply to job assignment.
