Position Summary
The New Business Development Manager Mobility is responsible for identifying developing and securing new business opportunities within targeted mobility market segments including Tier 1 and Tier 2 Automotive Heavy Truck and Commercial EV. This role partners closely with suppliers product management marketing and commercial teams to develop growth strategies build a robust opportunity pipeline and drive programs through technical and commercial validation to successful commercialization. The position serves as a market expert providing insights on competitive dynamics customer trends and emerging opportunities while supporting Formerras strategic growth objectives within the mobility industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within targeted Mobility submarkets where Formerras value proposition is differentiated and compelling.
- Deliver against established performance metrics including customer engagement activity opportunity generation funnel growth program progression and new business wins.
- Collaborate with suppliers to identify target customers and create aligned go-to-market strategies designed to accelerate market penetration.
- Lead new customer pursuits from opportunity identification through technical and commercial validation with accountability for pipeline development and business capture.
- Partner with Marketing to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns focused on targeted customers and mobility market segments.
- Manage the transition of newly acquired accounts to designated account managers ensuring business continuity and customer satisfaction after successful commercialization.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers to assess progress refine strategies and identify additional growth opportunities.
- Monitor and communicate competitive intelligence customer trends and market developments to Regional Sales Directors and commercial leadership.
- Maintain accurate CRM records opportunity pipelines and forecasting information to support business planning and visibility.
- Partner with Product Management to identify portfolio gaps and develop solutions that support customer and market needs.
- Adhere to all company policies procedures and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Engineering Materials Science Chemistry or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in business development sales account management product management or market development within the plastics polymers specialty chemicals automotive or related industries.
- Demonstrated success identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Experience developing and executing strategic growth initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of mobility markets including automotive commercial transportation EV or adjacent industries.
- Experience using CRM tools to manage opportunities pipelines and customer engagement activities.
- Ability to travel as needed to support customer and supplier engagement.
Preferred
- Experience in polymer distribution resin manufacturing engineered materials or specialty chemical markets.
- Knowledge of Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive supply chains and mobility market trends.
- Experience working with global suppliers and cross-functional commercial organizations.
