Summary:
The Network Technician will assist with the management coordination and maintenance of the hardware software and network systems within the District working under the direction of the Technology/Media Director.
Preferred Qualifications:
College or technical training in computers/technology or equivalent experience will be considered;
Experience and proficiency with school related technology and network systems;
Duties/Skills/Responsibilities:
Ability to assist with managing the districts information systems including network installations upgrades and maintenance of all hardware and software;
Assist the receiving distribution and installation of new hardware/software as various upgrades become necessary;
Ability to troubleshoot hardware software and network problems;
Ability to respond and evaluation of tech support requests;
Assist with the planning and implementation of emerging technologies;
Ability to maintain core network technologies and equipment;
Excellent communication organization and project management skills including the ability to follow through completion on multiple simultaneous tasks;
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
Effectively communicate with all district stakeholders and provide exceptional customer service;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision;
Ability to relate and work effectively with parents staff students and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community;
Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others;
Ability to relate and work effectively with parents staff students and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community;
Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff students and patrons of the District;
Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage.
