Job Summary

Koniag IT Systems LLC a Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Network Engineer T4 (Lead) to support KITS and our government customer Washington DC. This individual serves as the senior escalation point for all network-related issues and leads the design engineering integration and operations of CLIENTs enterprise network infrastructure. The Network Engineer T4 (Lead) works closely with the Contractor Program Manager NOC/Service Desk Manager and government stakeholders to ensure a stable secure and well-integrated enterprise Responsibilities:Network Engineering & Operations:Lead Tier 4 network engineering design integration and operations across CLIENTs enterprise environmentManage and optimize LAN/WAN routing switching wireless SD-WAN and network security fabricServe as the senior escalation point for complex cross-domain network incidents and problemsExecute complex network changes and integrations in accordance with ITIL 4 change management practicesSupport 24x7 NOC operations through on-call availability and documented escalation proceduresCloud & Hybrid Network Integration:Support integration of on-premises and cloud network infrastructure across AWS commercial AWS GovCloud Microsoft Azure Government and Microsoft 365 environmentsLead SD-WAN design and operational support across CLIENTs geographically distributed enterprise environmentCollaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to ensure reliable cloud connectivity and performanceLeadership & Knowledge Management:Lead and mentor network engineering team membersMaintain and update network documentation diagrams and knowledge base articles in the ITSM platformDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures for network operations and escalationSupport cross-training efforts to ensure coverage continuity across the network engineering teamRequired Qualifications:Experience:Minimum 810 years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experienceDemonstrated experience in a Federal or private-sector enterprise environment of comparable scale complexity and security postureProven experience leading network engineering operations at enterprise scale including 24x7 environmentsExperience with complex network change execution including integration projects across hybrid on-premises and cloud environmentsTechnical Expertise:Expert-level proficiency in:Enterprise LAN/WAN architecture and operationsRouting protocols (BGP OSPF EIGRP)Switching technologies (VLANs STP port aggregation)Wireless enterprise networkingSD-WAN design and operationsNetwork security fabric and firewall managementStrong working knowledge of:AWS and Azure cloud networkingZero Trust Network ArchitectureNetwork monitoring and event management toolsITSM platforms (e.g. ServiceNow)Required Certifications (Must be current and unexpired throughout performance):Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise Infrastructure or Security ORCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or Security (minimum)Additional preferred certifications:AWS Certified Advanced Networking SpecialtyMicrosoft Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)CompTIA Security (or equivalent)Our Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
