Network Engineer 26-020 San Diego CA

As a growing Department of Defense Contractor AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting NEW opportunity for a Network Engineer to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members in the Point Loma area of San Diego.

Support operations of the Triton MQ-4C UAS to plan and engineer as well as support the implementation and design of network architectures/infrastructures. Use concepts best practices and concepts related to networking hardware/software to include LAN WAN and architectures. Develop network designs network test plans/reports and use advanced troubleshooting skills for enterprise trouble tickets.

• Secret clearance required with potential for TS/SCI in the future.
• Current Security CE and (CCNP or CCNA relevant years experience).
• Bachelors degree 5 years experience or high school diploma 9 years experience required.
• Requires expertise with Cisco routers and switches Quality-of-Service DSCP marking traffic queue prioritization OSPF & BGP routing protocols Dynamic mGRE tunnels (DMVPN) VRF MPLS/VPLS Q-in-Q VLANs Wireshark packet capture analysis and network monitoring tools similar to Whats Up Gold Cisco ThousandEyes or equivalent.
• Experience in design work design documentation and test execution in support of a design.
• Proficiency in using network monitoring and management tools.
• Able to clearly document and deliver technical reports to senior leadership.
• Optional containerization network orchestration SDN / SDWAN Docker virtualization a plus.
• Familiarity with Navy Defense Research Evaluation Network (DREN) or Navy shore networks like Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) a plus.
• Strong written and oral presentation skills required.
• On-site requirement in the labMon-Thursday and working Fridays 0700-1530. CMS level 2 user for opening/closing the lab.
• Some travel is required. Up to 10%.

Salary Range: $150K-$185K

Based on your qualifications you will be placed in Level I-V.

An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a security clearance issued by the Federal Government which may require successful completion of a background check.

AUSGARs salary range is dependent upon a variety of factors which include experience skills education certifications and geographical location. Our salary range includes a base salary and excellent benefits package as part of our total compensation.
