Mustang Care Assistant

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mustang Care Assistant before and after school. This part-time position involves providing support and assistance to our Mustang Care program participants in grades K-6 ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that fosters personal growth and development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to helping others and a passion for community service.

Days & Hours: Days will follow the Mora Schools calendar. Mustang care operates every day students have class from 6:30-8:00am and 3:00pm-5:30pm

Salary: Hourly per Community Education Para Scale

Responsibilities
- Assist participants with daily activities including personal care meal preparation and recreational activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants encouraging social interaction and engagement.
- Monitor and report any changes in participants physical or emotional well-being to the appropriate staff members.
- Collaborate with team members to implement individualized care plans and support participants in achieving their goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist in the planning and execution of community events and activities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to participants building trusting relationships.

Requirements
- Relevant experience in caregiving or support roles preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Background check clearance may be required.
- Experience with special needs populations is a plus but not mandatory.
