Job Summary
Overview
Client is seeking a MultiCloud Administrator focused on critical facilities and electrical infrastructure for computer rooms at manufacturing locations. This role will lead power-capacity planning UPS and battery strategy rack and room design facilities readiness and StruxureWare DCIM platform management.
Core Responsibilities
- Own current and future IT power-demand planning including kW per rack amperage electrical phases peak-load assumptions A/B feeds redundancy paths and growth buffers.
- Document power-source paths redundancy requirements dual-feed configurations generator transfers and room-feeding approaches.
- Coordinate with plant electrical and facilities teams regarding electrical capacity panels circuits breakers and phased expansions.
- Define UPS strategies capacity requirements runtime targets monitoring standards inspection schedules testing plans and replacement strategies.
- Troubleshoot UPS and battery systems and develop improvement plans for utilization or capacity risks.
- Create and maintain rack elevations as-built room layouts cable paths and capacity models.
- Validate rack power thermal weight access and future-growth requirements.
- Maintain accurate CAD-style drawings as computer-room environments evolve.
- Identify and remove physical constraints affecting infrastructure modernization and dual-room resiliency.
- Develop remediation plans for insufficient UPS capacity rack-space limitations and inadequate redundant connections.
- Serve as the facilities escalation point for computer-room power incidents.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and remediation planning following electrical failures.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and methods of procedure for power work UPS maintenance rack changes and room upgrades.
- Provide quality oversight for contractors working on computer rooms and critical electrical systems.
- Manage vendors supporting UPS battery monitoring and electrical infrastructure.
- Coordinate quotes statements of work upgrade schedules and site power-capacity expansions.
- Collaborate with plant maintenance teams on generator and transfer-system readiness and testing.
- Manage the StruxureWare DCIM platform.
Essential Qualifications Skills and Technologies
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of experience supporting critical facilities electrical infrastructure data centers or computer-room environments.
- Hands-on experience with UPS systems battery technologies and electrical distribution.
- Experience troubleshooting critical electrical infrastructure using established operational-safety procedures.
- Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining rack elevations and physical layouts.
- Ability to validate rack power thermal weight access and growth requirements.
- Experience with generators automatic transfer switches static transfer switches and mission-critical electrical systems.
- Knowledge of data-center tiering concepts and reliability-oriented design.
- Experience coordinating critical infrastructure activities with facilities teams vendors and contractors.
Preferred Skills or Experience
- Experience supporting industrial or manufacturing facilities.
- StruxureWare or comparable data-center infrastructure management platform experience.
- Experience supporting dual-room resiliency or critical-facilities modernization programs.
