As our Multi-Modality Tech Weekend Option you will provide quality patient care within two or more medical imaging departments performing high-quality images and exams while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs and adhering to safe radiation practices.
Every day you will operate various imaging equipment precisely position patients for different exams during weekend shifts act as a clinical resource to unit personnel and serve as a role model ensuring current standards of practice are upheld.
To be successful in this role you will possess expertise in at least two medical imaging modalities strong technical skills across multiple platforms a deep understanding of radiation safety and the ability to effectively communicate lead and provide compassionate patient care during weekend coverage.
- Performs imaging procedures providing safety for self patients and all other individuals.
- Produces quality images in a complete accurate and timely manner.
- Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
- As assigned by management performs technologist duties of other registered modality.
- Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports / documents unusual occurrences and records patients condition.
- Notifies supervisor of equipment problems and logs the service call/problem per department procedure.
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- One (1) year of imaging experience
- Registered Radiology Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Any of the following: ARRT (CT) ARRT (M) ARRT (MR) R.T.(R) (VI)(ARRT); R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT)
- Current Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
