What Youll Do
- Develop and pitch compelling local news stories
- Shoot write edit and present stories for television digital and social platforms
- Conduct engaging live reports from the field
- Build sources and maintain strong community relationships
- Cover breaking news severe weather and major community events
- Create content that informs engages and impacts our viewers
- Strong storytelling writing and reporting skills
- Ability to shoot and edit video independently
- Excellent communication organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with social media and digital news platforms
- Ability to work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced newsroom
- A valid drivers license and good driving record
- Bachelors degree in Journalism Broadcasting Communications or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered
- Experience with ENPS newsroom computer systems is preferred but not required
- Experience with non-linear editing systems is preferred. Knowledge of Edius is a plus but training is available for the right candidate.
A good driving record is a utilize DMV and criminal background checks as a condition of employment.
