Job Summary

The Controller is responsible for overseeing the safe efficient and compliant processing of steelmaking slag into aggregates and recovered metals. This role integrates production planning process control quality assurance and team coordination to ensure maximum recovery of valuable materials and production of high-quality aggregate products.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan organize and control the production of slag handling transportation and processing into aggregates and metal recovery streams 
  • Monitor and adjust process parameters (e.g. crushing screening magnetic separation) to maintain optimal recovery rates and product quality   .
  • Troubleshoot equipment or process issues and make real-time adjustments to maintain efficiency and safety 
  • Coordinate with operators shift supervisors and maintenance staff to ensure smooth uninterrupted operations
  • Implement and enforce quality control programs to meet product specifications and environmental standards 
  • Monitor and record process conditions production logs and compliance data 
  • Ensure adherence to health safety and environmental regulations in slag handling and processing 
  • Determine equipment use availability and utilization to maximize throughput 
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports process records and performance metrics 
  • Use data analytics to identify trends improve processes and support decision-making 

Qualifications :

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of metal recovery slag processing and aggregate production.
  • Proficiency in process control systems automation and data analytics.
  • Experience in manufacturing environmental compliance and safety management.
  • Ability to read and interpret process data make quick decisions and communicate effectively.
  • Physical stamina for plant operations and equipment interaction.

Work Environment

  • Industrial plant environment with heavy machinery conveyor systems and processing equipment.
  • Exposure to dust noise and potential hazardous materials; requires strict adherence to safety protocols.
