Motor Drive Systems Engineer

This is a hands-on role working closely with our mechanical and control system counterparts to develop motor drive and sensing architectures including silicon definition and system integration.

In this role you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and integrate motor drive circuitry. The position requires deep expertise in actuator drive electronics including 3-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor drive design and silicon development as well as system-level awareness to own motor drive integration. BS in electrical engineering or computer engineeringn5 years of relevant industry experience focusing on 3-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor drive circuitry design and integrationnExperience in motor drive silicon definition and developmentnExcellent EE fundamentals focused on motor drives and analog design: 3-phase bridge design and control gate drivers phase current sensing active and passive signal conditioning feedback systems ADC interfacing DC/DC converters and power integrity nStrong working experience in electrical design including component selection circuit design schematic capture component placement and PCB/flex layout. Successful candidates have the ability to stay organized execute to a timeline and produce high quality deliverablesnKnowledge of embedded processor peripheral interfaces (PCIe USB I2C CAN SPI storage high speed serial)nStrong working knowledge of best practices for PCB/flex layout and constructionnHands on experience with test equipment including oscilloscope multi-meters and more for prototype bring-up debugging and functional validation
