Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant

CMS Mortgage is looking for a Loan Officer Assistant to serve as a true right-hand partner to our Loan Officer. This is not an entry-level support role. We are seeking someone with strong mortgage experience who is client-facing detail-oriented and confident in managing files and communication from application through pre-approval and beyond.

Required Experience (Read Before Applying):

• This role requires a minimum of 2 years of recent mortgage industry experience. Applicants without direct experience as a Loan Officer Loan Officer Assistant Processor or Underwriter will not be considered.
• You will be introduced to every client from day one as a core member of the loan team. You will support the pre-approval pipeline manage client and agent communication follow up with active and inactive leads and ensure files are clean structured and moving forward.
• When the Loan Officer is unavailable you are the knowledgeable and reliable point of contact that clients and agents trust.

• Minimum 2 years of mortgage industry experience required (non-negotiable)
• Experience as a Loan Officer Assistant Mortgage Processor Underwriter or Loan Officer strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of income calculation including self-employed borrowers
• Hands-on experience with credit review and AUS systems (DU/LP)
• Ability to structure files and support pre-approvals independently
• Strong understanding of loan programs including Conventional FHA VA and Non-QM
• Prior experience in the broker channel is a plus
• Familiarity with working across multiple lenders and pricing scenarios is preferred
