Job Summary

Job Title: Mold Maintenance Technician
Classification: Non-Exempt
Department: Casting
Reports to: Supervisor
Position : Days

Position Summary:
The Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for preparing the molds for the Casting line. This work includes meticulous hand work and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters.
  • Hand polish molds
  • Ensure dimensions and surface finish are maintained
  • Use manual drill press
  • Fill out required production documents
  • Assemble molds
  • Test molds for leaks
  • Maintain clean/organized work area
  • Preform other duties as required.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic English
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to identify nonstandard situations and respond accordingly.
  • Willing to work in hot/humid cold noisy industrial environment
  • Able to work with and understand sensitive measuring equipment
Education & Experience:
  • High school degree or GED equivalence.
  • Experience die maintenance preferred.
  • Crane and forklift experience preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Requires constant physical activity throughout shift such as walking sitting standing bending stooping squatting reaching handling near/far vision pushing pulling carrying and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible work schedule as needed with adequate notification.
  • Always maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations including wearing personal protective equipment.
  • Willing to work in hot/humid cold noisy industrial environment.
