Job Summary

Apple is seeking a highly motivated process development and integration engineer to join the Display Module Technology (DMT) team within Display Technologies Organization. Our team is responsible for developing innovative manufacturing process technologies to address complex design challenges that directly impact Apple Displays technologys future products quality and this role the individual will serve as a key focal point in the process development and integration of advanced display modules from the concept and architecture stages through product engineering validation builds. We operate at a fast pace and require everyone to be highly motivated. A successful candidate should be a flexible thinker who can solve problems beyond their technical expertise. They should also have a proven track record of excelling in a diverse and cross-functional team environment.

As a Module Process Engineer youll drive the display or optical module process end to end from proof-of-concept to volume manufacturing.

- Translate design requirement and features into detailed module EQ and process develop schedules deliver process in predictable timely manner.n- Perform design and process FMEA and focus on high-risk items to plan the development work.n- Work with multi-functional teams to communicate the risks and priorities the workn- Generate and maintain documentation of specifications manufacturing test and FA processes.n- Work with module supply vendors and develop processes for display or optical modules and help with failure analysis activities. n- About 10-20% international travel to work with vendors in factories

- B.S. Degree minimum in Physics Materials Science Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 10 years of relevant industry experience.n- Experience in EQ/Process development in Camera Sensor MEMS precision optics Semiconductor or other related industries.n- Experience in precision mechanical systems precision assembly flexures and calibration systems.n- Experience with thermal analysis stress analysis and multi-physics simulation tools.n- Experience in failure mode analysis root cause investigation and problem-solving for product yield and quality issues.

- Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Physics Material Science or Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience in a related field is preferred.n- Experience in micro-assembly processes including image capturing precision handling glue dispensing curing welding and precision fastening technologies.n- Experience with force-controlled precision adjustment mechanisms such as fine-pitch screws flexure stages and clamps along with best practices for locking alignment after active alignment.n- Experience in spring system engineering like post-assembly stiffness adjustment real-time spring constant tuning and spring solutions for auto-thermal compensation.n- Experience with defining adhesives/glues requirements characterizing properties and developing processes.n- Experience with various actuators including piezoelectric electrothermal electrostatic electromagnetic and voice-coil.n- Experience with optical calibration algorithm and active alignment optimization methods.n- Experience with lens system design and process and optical spec (tilt decenter focus wavefront error etc.).
