Job Summary
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Auto Hobby Shop Beale AFB CA.
This role is for Regular Full-Time employment offering benefits and ensuring a minimum of 35 hours of work weekly with the possibility of working up to 40 hours per week
Frequent bending reaching and working in awkward positions when performing work in lube pits or from car racks. Occasional heavy lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
Drains and changes lubricants in crank cases differentials and transmissions lubricates vehicles and replaces oil and filters. Replaces accessories such as rear view mirrors rotates replaces and/or repairs tube and tubeless tires with plugger or hot or cold patch. Services brakes (pads and rotors) checks components such as spark plugs wires rotors fan belts tail pipes mufflers hoses and similar items adjusting or repairing when necessary. Uses hand tools as necessary and uses a limited variety of test equipment. Maintains records and inventory. Who May Apply: Open to everyone. In order to qualify you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience servicing vehicles (i.e. lubricate oil and filter change). Must be able to read and understand manual specifications and possess the ability to verbally communicate with patrons.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
