At Total Security Solutions the countertops doors and panels you build arent just millwork theyre bullet-resistant barriers that protect real people in banks schools courthouses and government buildings across the country. Your craftsmanship stands between danger and the people on the other side.
What youll do
Youll bring finish-carpenter precision to our West Sacramento wood shop manufacturing the wood and other components that go into our ballistic barrier systems. Day to day that means:
Youll bring finish-carpenter precision to our West Sacramento wood shop manufacturing the wood and other components that go into our ballistic barrier systems. Day to day that means:
- Working with fiberglass spray glue and other messy materials to build bullet-resistant assemblies yes youll get your hands dirty and well set you up with the right gear
- Filing and sanding finished material to a fit-and-finish youd be proud to sign your name to
- Reading blueprints and project drawings then measuring and cutting with confidence
- Running saws sanders routers and whatever else the job calls for
- Jumping in wherever the floor needs you this is a team shop and the best days are the ones where everyone pitches in in every department
Our product is unlike anything youve worked with before. If youre willing to work hard and stay curious well teach you everything you need to know to master it.
Youll fit right in if you
- Have 5 years of carpentry experience ideally heavy on laminates and fit-and-finish
- Know your way around power saws sanders routers and shop machinery
- Can lift and handle materials 50 lbs and dont mind a loud dusty temperature-changing shop
- Have that rare combo of perfectionism and hustle you sweat the details and you move with urgency
- Like to learn like to help and like being part of a crew that has each others backs
- Experience with Formica and Corian is a plus. Prior shop experience is preferred.
