Position Overview

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to join one of our manufacturing clients in Phoenix AZ. This position focuses primarily on stainless steel fabrication and MIG welding. Candidates should have strong welding skills and be able to demonstrate their abilities during a weld test.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on primarily stainless steel materials

• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings

• Fabricate and assemble components to specification

• Grind fit measure and prepare materials for welding

• Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy

• Safely operate fabrication equipment and hand tools

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Follow all company safety procedures

Qualifications

• 3 years of MIG welding and metal fabrication experience required

• Experience welding stainless steel is strongly preferred

• Candidates without recent stainless steel experience may still be considered if they can successfully demonstrate proficiency during the required weld test

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings

• Strong measuring layout and fabrication skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required

• Stable work history preferred

• Veterans are highly encouraged to apply

Preferred Skills

• Stainless steel fabrication experience

• Manufacturing or production welding experience

• Experience operating fabrication equipment such as grinders saws presses and shears

• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
