Mid-Level Structural Engineer

About the PositionWe are searching for a Structural Engineer to join our Professional Design Group. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of relevant structural design experience and will be responsible for training mentoring and developing junior staff while providing expertise to clients and collaborating with in-house multidisciplinary teams. The role will involve scope evaluation project planning technical review construction administration quality control and supporting Ponds construction management group in design-build efforts. Additional experience in supporting multiple markets will be a plus. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across different industries. This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to exciting structural design projects and to grow professionally in a collaborative multidisciplinary and Qualifications8 years of relevant structural design experience preferably related to industries such as civil industrial and infrastructureBachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited universityStructural Engineering (SE) license or the ability to obtain SE licensure within six months (additional licenses are a plus)Experience using analytical software to design isolated structures and full buildings (preferred experience with RISA 3D)Experience in drawing production using Revit and/or AutoCADKnowledge of applicable codes and standards including but not limited to IBC ASCE ACI AISC (specific experience with non-building structures is preferred)Familiarity with ACI 350 API 620 650 and 653 (AWWA D100 also considered)Understanding of DOD/Federal design standards and UFCs (preferred)Specific experience in the design of deep foundations and/or specification of soil improvements particularly in coastal environments
