Scope of Project:
The Microsoft SME provides deep engineering expertise in Windows endpoint environments and Microsoft ecosystem technologies including imaging patching identity management and enterprise security controls.
Job Description:
Microsoft SME to lead engineering efforts across Windows endpoint management identity systems and enterprise security architecture.
Responsibilities:
System Hardening & Secure Baselines:
- Design secure Windows images and baseline configurations
- Implement protections for authentication identity and endpoint security
Configuration & Lifecycle Management:
- Manage configuration using Group Policy Intune Ivanti/KACE
- Maintain compliance and manage endpoint lifecycle operations
Imaging Patching & Automation:
- Lead Windows imaging patch orchestration and automation initiatives
- Ensure validation rollback and version control
Device Enrollment & Identity Engineering:
- Manage Active Directory Azure AD Autopilot
- Implement identity-driven security controls
Monitoring & Telemetry Engineering:
- Configure Windows logging and integrate into SIEM (e.g. Sentinel)
- Support detection forensic readiness and audit compliance
Assessment Workflow:
- Perform risk assessments and implement remediation plans
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:
- Develop SOPs and technical documentation
Required/Preferred Skills:
- 8 years IT experience in Microsoft ecosystem
- Strong expertise in:
- Windows 10/11 Active Directory Azure AD
- Intune GPO Autopilot
- PowerShell scripting
- Experience with enterprise security tools (Defender SIEM)
