Job Description Summary
We are seeking a motivated Metrology Technician to join our turbine airfoils machining NPI team at the BladeworX facility. Reporting to the Site Quality Leader and taking day-to-day technical direction from our Senior Metrologist you will learn to operate and program our inspection equipment and grow into an increasingly independent contributor. This is a hands-on development-oriented role for someone eager to build deep technical expertise in dimensional inspection and measurement science within a fast-paced New Product Introduction environment.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn to operate program and maintain a range of inspection equipment (e.g. CMMs vision systems and other dimensional measurement tools) under the guidance of the Senior Metrologist.
  • Assist with and progressively take ownership of weekly inspection equipment calibrations to ensure measurement accuracy and traceability.
  • Support the creation and revision of inspection programs for new and existing turbine airfoil parts.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving of inspection equipment issues measurement discrepancies and hardware inspection non-conformances.
  • Document inspection results calibration records and program changes in accordance with quality standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with machining engineering and quality teams to support NPI part qualification and continuous improvement efforts.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or a high school diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution
