Metrology Engineer I

You will utilize calibration standards to calibrate adjust certify maintain and repair instruments following approved calibration procedures. Additionally you will conduct routine tests analyze data and document results. You will troubleshoot and recommend solutions for basic instrumentation and system issues while supporting the completion of monthly calibration schedules and cleanroom HEPA certification RESPONSIBILITIESPerform instrument calibrations as required by monthly schedulePerform or support Cleanroom HEPA certifications activitiesMust be able to complete and pass gowning qualification for entry into aseptic coreInstrument/Equipment troubleshooting and repairMaintain Metrology laboratory equipment/systems. This shall include items such as procurement of instrument replacement parts and stock laboratory test gages for obtaining all necessary calibration documentation and completing administrative paperwork on instruments requiring offsite entry of calibration report and cleanroom testing documentation into the appropriate with purchasing department to ensure proper documentation I available on instruments sent to an outside lab. Package and secure instrumentation for QUALIFICATIONSAssociates degree in a scientific or engineering discipline3 years of related experience with experience in a pharmaceutical company instrument calibration setting is have the ability to simultaneously multi-task across multiple capabilities and functions and handle multiple competing priorities and requirements including performing site functional responsibilities responding to frequent e-mail and phone communications and attending multiple meetings and conference calls. Note that these activities may not be tied to core hours or preset at the site. Must have the ability to work effectively under and manage strict production time and performance deadlines.
