This role involves performing a variety of tasks including development and validation of analytical methods working with HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) managing research projects and conducting qualitative and quantitative testing of client samples. The position requires knowledge of commonly used concepts practices procedures and instrumentation in a chemistry laboratory.
The Research Scientist II manages projects with some supervision and reports to the Lab Supervisor. The ideal candidate is able to think and work independently collaborate effectively with teams and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with varying deadlines are essential.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (flexibility required for early/late/weekend shifts)
Work Restrictions: Due to the nature of the work medical marijuana cards are not permitted and random drug testing is conducted.
Essential Functions
- Perform qualitative and quantitative testing of client samples
- Develop and validate analytical methods
- Manage research projects and coordinate across departments
- Write research protocols reports and work instructions
- Communicate with clients regarding project/sample status
- Operate instruments such as HPLC IC and LC-MS/MS
Requirements
Position Requirements
- BS in Chemistry or related field with 4 years of industry experience in MDMV Chemistry (biotech/pharma)OR
- PhD in Chemistry with 4 years of industry experience (preferred)OR
- Related degree with 02 years of experience
- Strong communication skills
- Must have 4 years of hands on experience in Analytical Method Development and Validation (No Biologics)
- Must have experience in Operating instruments such as HPLC IC and LC-MS/MS
