Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
The Production II teammate is responsible for monitoring cleaning and inspecting plant production equipment to ensure proper operation. This role also operates mobile equipment supports other teammates as needed and maintains a clean and safe work environment. The schedule may include 8AM-6PM Monday-Friday or 5AM-3PM.
Duties of the role include but are not limited to:
Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
Monitor clean and inspect plant production equipment to ensure proper operation.
Operate mobile equipment including forklift and skid loader.
Assist other teammates as needed.
Perform cleanup and other duties as assigned by management.
Maintain dependable attendance and follow scheduled work hours including overtime and weekends as needed.
Required:
Experience in an industrial and/or outdoor work environment.
Ability to operate equipment under varying working conditions.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Reliable and dependable attendance.
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Preferred:
Previous experience operating mobile equipment such as a forklift or skid loader.
