Job Responsibilities:
SKILL (Ability to do the job)
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently to perform duties with little supervision.
-Ability to communicate with team members on all shifts and possess good mathematical and organizational skills.
- The ability to identify MORE severe defects such as High spots/lows/deep slivers.
- The ability to use various hand tools such as body filescheese grater/flat files/bow files/grinder/da sander
- The ability to effectively use high lite oil to verify all rework/surface condition
- The ability to determine when a defect is repairable of scrap.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Some of the physical demands for this position include the ability to lift 40 pounds and being able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED
Some of the equipment and tools used are basic departmental hand tools and personal protective equipment. Also may include computer and scanning.
KNOWLEDGE
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required
OTHER: Safe work practices general knowledge of mechanical operations.
WORK EXPERIENCE
WHAT TYPES Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
HOW MUCH 6-12 months.
WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS OR ABILITIES WOULD BE HELPFUL FOR THE JOB
-Basic mechanical aptitude.
-Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety requirements.
-Good communication skills.
-Basic understanding of weld terminology
