Job Summary

Sancovia Corporate Finance is an owner-managed independent and fast-growing international M&A advisory firm focused on small and medium-sized businesses and the middle market. Since our founding in 2012 we have supported more than 250 transactions across 11 offices providing personalized hands-on advice to investors portfolio companies and entrepreneurs.

We are specialists in buy-and-build strategies. Our teams help clients translate investment theses into actionable acquisition pipelines develop relationships with business owners and support opportunities through the transaction process.

Established in 2026 our Miami office is Sancovias first U.S. location and an important step in the firms international growth. We are building a high-performing local team to support active U.S. buy-and-build mandates and the continued development of Sancovia in North America.

This role offers direct exposure to Sancovias U.S. leadership senior colleagues across our international offices and private equity clients. It is designed for someone who wants meaningful responsibility enjoys working in a lean and entrepreneurial environment and is excited to help shape a new office from an early stage.

Tasks
  • Build refine and prioritize target company universes for sector-focused platform and add-on acquisition searches.
  • Identify and assess privately held businesses based on ownership strategic fit market position scale and other investment criteria.
  • Conduct detailed company industry competitor and market research using proprietary databases public sources and direct information gathering.
  • Analyze financial statements operating metrics and transaction considerations and support the preparation of historical and projected financial information.
  • Prepare high-quality company profiles target presentations market and sector reports information memorandums and other transaction materials.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline CRM and reporting information across multiple live workstreams.
  • Support origination activities and over time participate in direct outreach to founders business owners and senior executives.
  • Coordinate follow-up information requests and preparation for founder calls management meetings and early-stage transaction discussions.
  • Assist with valuation analysis and the assessment of the financial implications of potential acquisitions.
  • Help develop templates processes and reporting standards as the Miami office and U.S. platform continue to scale.
Requirements
  • Approximately 2 to 4 years of relevant full-time professional experience ideally in corporate finance investment banking transaction services private equity corporate development M&A advisory management consulting accounting or a related transaction-focused environment.
  • A completed bachelors degree in finance accounting economics business or another analytically rigorous field.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting with the ability to interpret financial statements and evaluate business performance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with a high standard for accuracy organization and presentation quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the maturity to interact professionally with colleagues clients founders and executives.
  • Strong research skills commercial curiosity and the judgment to distinguish meaningful information from noise.
  • A highly motivated self-starter who takes ownership follows through reliably and can work independently without losing attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and remain effective in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
  • A collaborative low-ego approach and genuine willingness to handle both analytical work and the practical details required to move projects forward.
  • Additional language skills are welcome but not required.
