Position Summary:

The MEP Commissioning Agent position will be within the RFS (New England) Division of Salas OBrien. The Commissioning Agent will support the planning execution and documentation of mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems commissioning for new construction and renovation projects and for retro-commissioning of MEP systems in existing buildings. The Commissioning Agent will collaborate with owners design engineers contractors equipment vendors and manufacturers and facilities staff to verify that MEP systems are installed started tested and documented in accordance with the construction documents.

Position Requirements:

  • 10 years field and/or operational experience involving building automation systems (BAS) construction. (Current BAS field technicians looking for a career pivot while still applying their professional skills are encouraged to apply.)
  • Bachelors or associate degree in engineering or related field (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular field presence on active construction sites.
  • Ability to climb ladders access mechanical rooms and work around active equipment.

Office Assignment:

  • Primary office assignments in Boston MA Laconia NH or Portland ME (candidate choice).

Travel:

  • Approximately 50% to 75% depending on workflow primarily day trips to project and client sites.
  • Occasional overnight stays to accommodate project requirements.

Compensation and Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is 110000 - $135000USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills experience and qualifications.
