Membership Director

The Ocean Community YMCA is seeking an experienced service-oriented Membership Director to lead membership growth retention engagement and Welcome Center operations at the Naik Family Branch located in Mystic CT. This position provides leadership to the Membership team and helps ensure an exceptional experience for members guests and prospective members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to increase membership retention engagement and revenue.
• Monitor membership trends goals member feedback and performance measures.
• Oversee daily Welcome Center and Child Watch operations and maintain high member-service standards.
• Recruit train schedule supervise and develop Membership and Child Watch staff.
• Ensure membership transactions program registrations financial assistance and account changes are processed accurately.
• Manage the Membership budget and prepare monthly reports and performance analyses.
• Coordinate membership marketing communications events and community outreach.
• Build relationships with members community partners and local leaders.
• Support the YMCAs Annual Campaign fundraising activities and special events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in sales marketing communications or a related field preferred.
• Five or more years of experience in membership sales marketing or a related area preferred.
• Demonstrated success in sales and revenue growth.
• Previous staff-supervision and leadership experience required.
• Strong interpersonal customer-service presentation and communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with standard business software.
• Ability to develop professional relationships with members staff community partners and local leaders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required CPR/AED First Aid and Emergency Oxygen Administration certifications.

Schedule:

This is a full-time exempt position. The schedule will vary based on branch needs and may include one weekend day along with occasional evenings or special events. The pay range for this position is $60000-$65000 per year.
