Were looking for a Member of Technical Staff Product Engineering whos passionate about building products that transform how knowledge work gets done. As a key member of our engineering team youll have end-to-end ownership of features that directly impact thousands of lawyers daily work. Youll work directly with the founding team on building the future of legal work.

Legal teams today are drowning in work. Our platform changes that but only if we build it right. Youll be crafting the systems that make sophisticated legal work feel simple and intuitive. Your code wont just ship features; it will fundamentally change how legal teams operate making their work faster smarter and more impactful.

• Design and implement full-stack features that blend elegant UX with robust backend systems.

• Architect scalable solutions across our entire tech stack (React TypeScript ).

• Shape our technical direction making crucial decisions about architecture and infrastructure.

• Build and optimize cloud-native systems using GCP.

• Mentor and uplift other engineers through thoughtful code reviews and knowledge sharing.

• Drive innovation in both our codebase and the legal tech industry as a whole.

• Own mission-critical surfaces end-to-end from API to UI that lawyers use daily to review draft and advise.

• Turn customer feedback into shippable specs and ship quickly improving quality while shrinking lead time for change.

• Raise the reliability bar (observability testing fallbacks) so complex AI features behave predictably in high-stakes moments.

• Help build the leading legal AI platform for in-house teams.

• 3 years of experience building production-grade web applications.

• Strong expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React.

• Deep understanding of React and frontend architecture.

• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP).

• Track record of designing scalable backend systems.

• History of making architectural decisions that stood the test of time.

• Experience with modern ORMs (Drizzle/Prisma) and API design.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices.

• Background in building secure compliant systems.

• Familiarity with AI/LLM integrations.

• Experience mentoring other engineers.

• Understanding of legal tech or B2B SaaS.

GC AI is a distributed company with team members across North America and soon Europe. We believe that because our business is AI human connection matters more not less. We invest in bringing people together through our hub model: regular coworking sessions customer dinners team and company offsites. If youre in a location without an office expect up to 10% travel (and more for customer-facing roles).

Team members in the San Francisco Bay Area and Provo UT (within 50 miles of the office) work together on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays. As we grow we plan to establish permanent offices in more hub cities and we will look to our team members to help build that in-person culture. We currently hire across the United States and Canada.
