The Meltshop Electrician will promote and enhance Safety Excellence as Nucor Utahs #1 value. This role requires working Collaboratively with the team to drive Communication Alignment and Continuous Improvement. Maintain Improve diagnose repair and Upgrade plant equipment Support and Lead division initiatives that set the team and division up for success. The Melt Shop Electrician is expected to demonstrate leadership through the Maintenance Strategy:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
- 2 years Industrial Commercial or heavy power experience
- Able/willing to withstand high temperature working conditions and heights.
- Must be willing/able to cover shifts be called in on short notice and work overtime as required/needed
- 4-year degree from college technical school or other educational program with an emphasis in Industrial Maintenance Industrial Electricity or similar field that demonstrates the commitment and desire for personal growth and development.
- Experience with PLCs: Allen Bradley Control Logix Emerson and Wonderware
- Experience troubleshooting programming ABB & AB drives
- Equipment upgrade installation and commissioning experience
- Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring and equipment using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system
- Process control instrumentation working with transmitters valves and other electrical components
- Working knowledge of and compliance with OSHA regulations and electrical safety standards (arc flash LOTO fall protection hot work and job hazard analysis
