The Melt Shop Shift Supervisor provides leadership direction and support in order to help the Melt Shop team meet the goals of the Department and the Division. Responsibilities will include selecting teaching training and leading a team in all aspects of steel production while working closely with peers within the leadership team to develop consistent guidelines for the Nucor Kingman team. Additional responsibilities include managing day to day operations costs projects process improvements and engaging in and leading divisional initiatives. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Minimum 2 year leadership experience
- Leadership Presence and Courage - Willingness and confidence to have immediate and direct conversations on critical alignment issues such as teamwork building relationships initiating and supporting change and production process issues that arise. This includes the willingness to face adversity and conflict head on.

- Four-year technical degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years Melt Shop operational experience
