Foundry Employee Level 1 Melting

Reports To: Foundry Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Wear all PPE required
• Follow all GIW Safety guidelines
• Keeps area neat clean and safe
• Secure and rope off pouring floor prior to pouring
• Able to work any scheduled hours
• Able to follow and understand work instructions
• Able to read a tape measure
• Able to follow and understand SOPs
• Able to set up and sand in molds
• Able to bolt up closed molds and understand bolting requirements
• Able to inspect molds with a borescope camera
• Able to set and pull mold weights
• Able to understand and verify riser height
• Operates overhead crane skid steer forklift and dump trucks
• Able to understand and document inspection forms for cranes forklifts man lifts and scissor lifts
• Knows how to patch ladles
• Must understand and perform the process of slagging off ladles during pouring
• Follow all instructions given by team leads and supervisor

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently:

• Standing walking sitting bending squatting stooping
• Lifting pushing and pulling <75 lbs.

• Occasionally:

• Overhead work
• Climbing ladders or stairs
• Driving forklifts
• Operating cranes
